Heaps more touring, and releasing more records! What else is in store for Thee Oh Sees in 2012? We’re happy to be on the list, but we are still gonna keep doing what we do for as long as we can no matter what acclaim we achieve. It’s nice to hear, but it doesn’t really matter to us much I reckon. What does an acclaim like this mean to the group? Pitchfork ranked The Dream as #91 on their top tracks for 2011. I’m really excited to see Deerhoof again, I used to see them a lot in the early 2000’s, but it’s been quite a while.
You are also going to be playing at the Sugar Mountain Festival, what other acts are you excited to see perform? I hope this year we have a great show to make it up to the kids! We ended up eating at a Chinese restaurant with a few kids who made it out to the club.

It was crazy going down to the river and watching the news on tv with all the footage of destruction. I’m really excited to go back to Brisbane because our show last year was canceled due to the flooding.

What do you enjoy most about touring in Australia? We try to bring all of our energy at every show, so hopefully you can expect a really good time! Your Australian / New Zealand tour kicks off in January, what can we expect in your live shows? The album is mainly inspired by old Dungeons and Dragons campaign books, and our love of puppys. It’s our go to spot where we’ve done albums like The Masters Bedroom, and Help.
